From club-managed trails to places that call for more independent planning, each zone has its own character. Staging references below come from club, provincial and tourism sources checked in September 2026; six have a parking pin and three unmanaged areas have roadside references only. A pin is never proof that a road is open today. Confirm with the club before you go.
Owlhead
Sicamous side · Sled Sicamous managed. A varied area with a club cabin and both groomed and ungroomed routes. Respect the mapped Kingfisher Ecological Reserve closure.
Staging: Owlhead Parking Area at the start of Owlhead FSR, off Maclean/MacPherson Road.

Queest
Sicamous side · Sled Sicamous managed. The club's oldest area: a meadow by the cabin, views across the Eagle Valley on the access trail, and steeper, more varied ground beyond. Check the club map for ungroomed routes and cliff warnings.

Blue Lake
Sicamous side · Sled Sicamous managed. Wide open alpine and subalpine terrain with a cabin and a novice training hill nearby. Groomed access leads to ungroomed riding, so treat the wider area as backcountry.
Staging: Blue Lake Parking Area at the end of Yard Creek Loop Road, where Yard Creek FSR begins.

Eagle Pass
Sicamous side · Sled Sicamous managed · access needs confirming. Big, steep alpine terrain above 2,000 metres; the provincial record says it is not recommended for novice riders. Sled Sicamous posted an East Perry FSR landslide closure in March 2025 and we have not confirmed a reopening. Check with the club before planning around this zone.
Staging: Eagle Pass Parking Area via Bowolin Road and the East Perry River FSR, east of Sicamous.

Boulder Mountain
Revelstoke side · Revelstoke Snowmobile Club managed. A well used club trail system with groomed access, Boulder Cabin, bowls and technical trees, and advanced ungroomed terrain farther in. Trail fees and dates are set by the club.
Staging: the RSC Welcome Centre at 4177 Westside Road, Revelstoke. The club says West Boulder Trailhead has no parking.

Griffin
Revelstoke side · unmanaged. Low angle terrain, spaced trees, meadows and rolling hills, with no groomed club trail or cabin. Motor vehicles are prohibited in the adjacent Mount Griffin Ecological Reserve.

Mt Begbie
Revelstoke side · unmanaged. The club describes a smaller, technical area with expansive views, reached from Wap Lake FSR. Do not confuse it with the Highway 23 Mount Begbie hiking trailhead, and check the Mount Macpherson seasonal motor vehicle closure boundaries.

Joss
Revelstoke side · unmanaged. Huge, wide open alpine after a long approach up Wap Lake FSR through burn and forest to rolling alpine and meadows. English Lake Provincial Park next door is non-motorized.
Staging: Wap Lake FSR roadside only; no exact lot is verified, and the provincial Joss Pass hiking record is not a sled staging point.

Swap Stories in the Hot Pools
Leave the mountain to the daytime. Back at Crazy Creek there is a forest cabin with your name on it, outdoor hot pools under the stars, and a firepit for the stories that get even better after a soak.
Malakwa is between Sicamous and Revelstoke on the Trans-Canada Highway, so both sides of the riding are within reach from one comfortable base.

Owlhead, Queest, Blue Lake and Eagle Pass are Sled Sicamous areas. The club posts grooming updates, closures, passes and cabin cameras.

Revelstoke Snowmobile Club
Boulder Mountain and Frisby Ridge are club-managed areas. Griffin, Mt Begbie and Joss are listed by the club as unmanaged, with no groomed trail, cabin or access assurance.

Roads
Highway conditions between Sicamous and Revelstoke are on DriveBC. Resource roads can change with logging activity, so follow current signage and the province's resource road guidance.
