Why teams come here

The meetings are great. The real work happens around the fire.

Anyone can book a boardroom. What a team remembers is the conversation that starts after dinner, when the laptops are closed, the fire is going and nobody is in a hurry to leave.

Morning

In the room

Focused sessions in a meeting room for up to 100, a short walk from where everyone slept.

Afternoon

Outside

Walk the creek, find a trail, or let the hot pools reset everyone's head.

Evening

Around the fire

Chairs in a circle, the stars coming out, and the honest talk you can't schedule.

From your office

Close enough for two nights away. Far enough that nobody pops back to the office.

Load up the vans after the morning coffee and you're at the fire pit by lunch. Crazy Creek sits on the Trans-Canada in Malakwa, just east of Sicamous, with a large parking lot for cars, vans and trailers.

  • A bar and sink at one end of the room
  • No commute between sessions and your cabin
  • Breaks down by the creek or out on a trail

Around the fire

Where the real work gets done.

When the sessions end, the team heads for the fire. A ring of chairs, the forest going dark, the stars coming out. It's where the new hire finally talks to the VP, and where next year's big idea usually shows up.

  • A large group fire pit with chairs for the whole team
  • Hot pools open until 10 pm, last hour adults only

Campfires follow BC Wildfire Service fire bans.

Where the team sleeps

Everyone gets their own space.

No hotel hallways. Your team spreads out across forest cabins and suites, each with a kitchen and its own fire pit, and still meets at the same fire every night.

49Everyone has their own space

Each guest gets their own sleeping area. In some cabins, one person takes the open studio and another the bunk room, which has its own door.

Up to 61Sharing rooms, not beds

If some of your team are happy to share a room, we add a second guest in rooms with two beds.

Nobody sleeps on a pullout or hide-a-bed. Bringing your own RV? Sites sit right among the cabins, and you get discounted rates on pool passes. See the cabins

Team building, built in

No ropes course required.

The best team building here doesn't need a facilitator. It needs a hot pool, a river beach and a good trail.

Hot pools and the cold plunge

Three hot pools and an 8°C cold plunge, included with every cabin and suite. Daring the boss into the cold plunge counts as team building.

From easy forest walks to bigger climbs, there are plenty of trails nearby. Tell us your team's pace and we'll point you to the right one.

Nearby: Revelstoke is 30 minutes east for dinner out or a day on the mountain, and the Shuswap is just to the west.

Planning your retreat

Good to know before you book.

Book early

Next year's calendar opens at the end of November.

Groups get first priority. Send your inquiry now and we'll be in touch as soon as dates open.

1

Go midweek or off-peak. Spring, fall and winter give you more choice of cabins and a quieter resort.

2

Leave room in the agenda. The best conversations happen in the gaps, so build in pool time and fire time.

3

Bringing a bigger group? Tell us your numbers and plans, and we'll work out the best fit with you.

Retreat inquiry

Tell us about your team.

A few details are all we need to check dates and suggest how your retreat could work. No commitment. We reply within one business day.

See you by the fire

Bring the team. We'll keep the fire going.
